The company was founded by Ludwig Georg Boie in 1868 as a plumber and installation company in Heilbronn, Württemberg. In the then burgeoning industrial city on the Neckar, Boie initially offered repairs and construction work with sheet metal and metal goods. With the first successes, the company expanded and initially constructed more cookers and ovens. The business areas were constantly expanded, with the trade in goods becoming more and more important during the long years of the company’s history.
